Help ensure that all Philadelphians have equal access to justice

The Philadelphia Equal Justice Center (EJC) is an initiative of The Philadelphia Bar Foundation, designed to make Philadelphia’s civil legal aid system more accessible, coordinated, and equitable for all Philadelphians.

Every connection strengthens the fabric of justice in Philadelphia. Join us in building a stronger, more connected justice community—one that ensures every Philadelphian can find the help they need, when they need it most.

Partnership Opportunities

Steering Committee

The Equal Justice Center is guided by a Steering Committee of justice leaders representing Philadelphia’s legal aid, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors. The Committee plays a central role in shaping the EJC’s direction, making key decisions about the design, development, and implementation of the Virtual Hub, and ensuring that its growth reflects the needs of both providers and the communities they serve.

Members meet virtually each month, typically on the second Wednesday morning, to review progress, share updates, and coordinate collaborative efforts. In addition, the Committee gathers quarterly for in-person sessions dedicated to strategic planning, visioning, and collective problem-solving.

Through this structure, the Steering Committee keeps the EJC’s mission rooted in collaboration and accountability—uniting partners to strengthen Philadelphia’s civil legal aid ecosystem.
