Community Provides Input on Public Space in Equal Justice Center
A community engagement meeting was recently held at the Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic Church and School, 915 Vine St, Philadelphia. Community members were encouraged to leave suggestions and ask their own questions about the 800-30 Vine Street development project which includes the Equal Justice Center. In addition, attendees were asked questions about their preferences and opinions for planned public spaces. This valuable community input will be taken into consideration as the design process progresses.
This gathering also served to provide more information about the Equal Justice Center to 800-30 Vine Street neighbors and the general public. The Equal Justice Center is expected to house around 20 different legal aid organizations from all around the city of Philadelphia. It is projected to assist over 40,000 residents and produce an overall community economic benefit of $202 million per year.
